The Rhemadance workshop is an intensive study in the art of Worship Dance. Students will learn how to fully use their instrument to the Glory Of God. Classes will consist of high level training in various styles of dance.  In addition to receiving professional training in dance forms, students will also have the opportunity to learn WHY they dance and its Biblical foundation and application in an interactive Bible Study. 

Depending upon how a workshop is structured, students can also have an opportunity to learn a routine to be performed in a worship service or at a special event. Our workshops are extremely flexible in structure so that your church or organization is receiving exactly what YOU desire. Whether you have an established dance ministry, or are looking to start one, our  workshop is the PERFECT opportunity for your ministry.

 

 

Classes Offered

CORE CLASSES

AFRICAN DANCE TECHNIQUE

In this class, students will learn traditional African style movement and techniques.  Students will be challenged by complex rhythmic movements and combinations and will also learn some African dance terminology.  This style is perfect for high praise and pageantry and can be used in a number of different services and events.

 

HIP HOP DANCE TECHNIQUE

Students will be challenged by street style dance techniques and choreography.  This style helps to build movement vocabulary while instilling confidence, positive self image, and an appreciation for clean God centered Christian Rap music.  This style is great for youth and young adult services and events. It is perfect for warfare, and praise.

 

CONTEMPORARY DANCE TECHNIQUE

This is a class in foundational dance technique and positions. Students will learn how to dance with beauty, style and grace. The technical aspects of dance such as jumps, leaps, turns, arm positions, and feet positions will be covered. Students will learn how to dance with their entire body.

 

PRAISE AND WORSHIP

The Bible says that worship must be done in Spirit and in truth. This class will teach the students how to dance and create movement from within. Focus will be placed on interpretation of words and music and creating dances with meaning and purpose.  This class is foundational to dance ministries and those that dance during morning worship services.

 

DANCING IN THE BIBLE (WORD STUDY)

This is an interactive Bible Study that teaches the students why we dance and where dancing is seen in the Bible.  Students will see why dance is used to glorify God, and the importance of excellence in ministry and holiness in their everyday walk . The purpose is to give the students an appreciation for the gift of dance, and inspire them to use their gift for God rather than the enemy.

ADDITIONAL CLASSES

CHOREOGRAPHY

Students will be given an opportunity to learn a routine or routines that can be taken back to their various ministries and used in their churches. Everything from formations to suggested dance garments will be covered.

 

STRENGTH AND FLEXIBILITY

This class is a full body workout designed to increase stamina, improve muscle strength, limb flexibility, and range of movement and build endurance. 

 

PARTNERING

Students will learn the basics for dancing with a partner or group including lifts, spacing, and being a dependable, careful partner.
